Birds over a wetland in the Central Valley south of Bakersfield.

Two day drive from San Francisco to the farthest corner of Arizona. It was meditative, no music, Interstate 5 then turn left at Interstate 10. The only bad heat was driving thru Palm Springs around midnight where it was forecast to be 118 deg F that day.
