Stopped down the 400mm lens. Full frame. I had to underexpose & bring this back up in raw processing si it's quite bad. comment: This is the date on a penny, if that's not obvious. - 6-9-05-macro-photography-Misc - Paul Furman Photography

An experiment reversing a tiny Nikon 45mm f/2.8 on the end of a huge 70-200 f/2.8 VR and with a 2x TC. Distance from front element to subject was fairly far about 2 or 3 inches. I haven't calculated the magnification yet but it is very extreme, way beyond 1:1. One problem is I needed three stepping rings to match these and there is quite some distance, exaggerating the magnification even more. I can zoom & focus quite a bit before suffering vignetting though.
