1.3MP Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks Pro with Tokina 300mm f/2.8 lens plus stacked 1.4 and 2x teleconverters. The mount is made from a lens shade and a drilled out rear lens cap. Also check out the video showing heat waves focused on a house about more than a mile away. The temperature was only about 70 degrees. Here's a comparison with my DSLR on the same setup and same view. The DSLR version is enlarged 168% so if that pixel density filled the 10MP DSLR sensor size, it would be a 16.8 megapixel camera. If you calculate the crop factor for 35mm equivalent, this would be a 5,000mm lens but the low pixel count and low quality makes that not very meaningful as the DSLR still provides a better image in most respects. It is interesting to see live video at this maginification though!
