240mm 1/60 sec at f/45 ISO 1600 hand held with built in flash at +1 in cloudy weather.
Canon 500D +2 Closeup Diopter at it's closest range. 400mm was achieved with a Nikon AF-S VR 70-200mm f/2.8G IF-ED plus a Nikon TC-20E II (2x) teleconverter. I needed the Canon diopter on my Nikon D70 because that's the only one available in a 77mm thread. I did a test of a ruler maxed out with this setup & I calculated better than 1:1 actually 1.2:1 (12-1/2 sixteenths of an inch is .78". Then .93" for a 23.7mm wide sensor divided by .78" is 1.2) if I've figured that correctly. 3008 pixels in .78" is 3,856 dpi. All these photos have maximum sharpening and pretty heavy contrast adjustments using Adobe Camera RAW.
