STEEP SLOPES

Here's a wildflower slope which included a couple thousand small seedlings mostly contract grown from local seed. It is extremely steep and rocky and was stripped bare of blackberry before I came on the job. Here's a small sample of a difficult steep slope with native planting done on a shoe-string budget. Here's the "civilized" portion of that same garden. And of course, our own wonderful all native steep slope garden in the city!

I have been doing estate gardens, parks and resorts in Marin County from '95 to '02 and have had many opportunities to work on steep slopes and retaining walls with geotechnical, civil and structural engineers.
