             Pale Serviceberry             Rosaceae

             Amelanchier pallida

Occurs on Twin Peaks, R&P found it "difficult" to grow (probably from seed). Try

cuttings, I would expect it to be easy that way.

             California Pipevine             Aristolchiaceae

             Aristolochia californica

Only a few small populations in San Francisco. We're on the waiting list to get some.

I'm propagating tons of it from an unknown source in my garden, I wonder how

             variable it is genetically?

             Mugwort             Asteraceae

             Bromus carinatus

Seed collected August 2000, Edgehill Mountain.

             Sedge             Poaceae

             Carex sp.

Locate seed/cutting source for local species. Sept, 2000 I noticed a healthy clump

below Marges Ferns. I wonder if this was a Luzula that sneaked in or was it existing?

I'm sure this wasn't on the list.

             California Lilac             Rhamnaceae

             Ceanothus thyrsiflorus

For the sunny bank above "The Wall"

Experiment with it for aggressive competition with ivy & erharta.
